I am a natural science artist working mostly in watercolor and ink. The fluid paint colors alongside crisp ink lines help me convey diverse aspects of natural science subjects. While my work is often stylized, I aim to include enough detail to identify the particular species of plant or animal yet still allow for whimsy through creative composition. Though clean and simple in presentation, my artwork takes time to create. Each image is built up through a process of layering paint. I hope my artwork reflects the amazing diversity of creatures in our local habitats and encourages people to learn about, take a closer look at, and preserve the natural world around them.
