I create acrylic and oil paintings inspired by the natural world, exploring the interplay between opposing forces—light and shadow, stillness and movement, form and space. Beginning with a subject, photograph, or personal memory, I investigate the relationships between color, light, and shape, sometimes allowing forms to dissolve into one another and at other times using more defined shapes to anchor the composition. Throughout the process, color remains the guiding element, shaping the emotional and visual language of each painting.
Each work evolves organically from a meaningful connection to a specific time, place, or experience. Through a balance of abstraction and observation, I seek to capture not only the visual qualities of a landscape, but also its atmosphere and emotional presence.
