I see the world through the pristine lenses of my Sony mirrorless cameras and my DJI drone. They have recently traveled with me to Alaska, Utah’s National Parks, Canada, Switzerland, and picturesque spots within the beautiful state of North Carolina. My 40lb backpack of gear can be daunting to hike with, however, this has allowed me to capture and preserve special moments, like the sun setting over the Lauterbrunnen Valley in Switzerland or a dragonfly in the “golden hour” in a field near my house. While I enjoy mixed media painting and incorporating eggshells into my acrylic work, photography and videography are my passion and aspiration for the future.
People ask me, why I love photography and videography. It allows me to combine my keen understanding of technology and bring my artist eye to the viewfinder. Through the camera I control the light (through the aperture), the focus (through the depth of field), and many other variables when I create an image. Anybody can take a picture, but I am striving for a unique way of capturing the world.
I am a Senior at Chapel Hill High School and when I am not in school or doing homework you can find me and my camera or drone gear capturing images.
