Clay is my medium of choice for pottery ,sculpture ,drawing and painting. I have worked in my Zebulon, NC home studio since 1976 and retired from teaching art at Bunn High School in 2001. My new home is outside of Carrboro and I am a member of the Red Clay Co-op at The Clay Centre.
I studied ceramics at East Carolina University and many summer sessions at Penland and other craft schools. My work includes pottery and sculpture ,usually low fire , with a variety of surface treatments. Women and desserts are long running themes in my work.. Clay continues to spark my interest in new form and surface combinations.
