Depending on the subject, I am comfortable painting in either a realist or representational style. I approach each painting with particular attention to the play of light and perspective. Many of my paintings are landscapes, often with people in them, but I am also intoxicated with the beauty of ballet and love to paint the dancers. Sometimes I have painted interiors and recently have done a number of still lifes.
I would like the viewer of my paintings to think they are being reminded of something they have seen before, but be surprised that it is more interesting than they had remembered.
